The Sema-Anika is designed to be a safe space for youthful expression and discourse on is- sues so that the youth can find their voice in solving the issues that are common place in so- ciety. We’ve been running a series of conversations on Gender equality, Mainstreaming and Sexual Gender Based Violence. Our partners YWCA offer survivors of SGBV temporary accommodation while Nairobi hospital offers treatment and counseling services to sur- vivors. We are also working with Masiz Pamoja in Kenya with the aim of unifying and connecting women to information and services designed to address the growing concern on matters af- fecting women such as Gender based violence and Sexual and Reproductive Health rights (SRHR) especially in learning institutions in Kenya. This works through the Masiz Pamoja App manned with all information on Sexuality and Reproduction. We have partnered with Face Forward International and Artieno to bring the “Totally Thought Out,” which is a Human Rights theme based artistic space that aims to raise aware- ness on the various forms of atrocities committed against human beings, while providing emotional support to the victims of these atrocities within the East African region especially survivors of SGBV, natural calamities especially Refugees.
